Belize Tours from Belize City
The Capital & The Cenote. Escape the heat and hustle of Belize City with this refreshing half-day expedition. This tour offers a unique blend of culture and nature. You will visit Belmopan—the "Garden City" and one of the smallest national capitals in the world—before plunging into the sapphire waters of the St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park for a revitalizing jungle swim.
Leaving the coast, we drive inland to the geographical center of the country. Belmopan is unique—a planned city built after Hurricane Hattie destroyed the old capital. You will see the famous National Assembly Building, designed to look like a Maya Temple, and explore the vibrant Market Square (especially lively on Tuesdays and Fridays) where locals trade exotic fruits and spices.
Just 15 minutes past the capital on the scenic Hummingbird Highway lies St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park. Unlike the ocean Blue Hole, this is a sapphire-blue limestone sinkhole (cenote) surrounded by lush rainforest. The water is cool, mineral-rich, and incredibly refreshing. It is the perfect place to wash off the tropical humidity.
Perfect for Cruise Guests. If you are arriving on a cruise ship or have a flight to catch later, you might not have time for deep jungle treks like Tikal or ATM. This tour is the perfect solution. It gives you a taste of the rainforest, a swim, and a cultural tour, all within a safe 5-hour window that guarantees you get back to the port on time.

1. Is this the Great Blue Hole in the ocean?
No. This is the Inland Blue Hole located in the jungle. It is a freshwater swimming hole (cenote), not the deep marine sinkhole used for scuba diving.
2. Is the water cold?
It is "refreshing." The water comes from underground cave systems, so it stays cool year-round (around 75°F/24°C), which feels amazing on a hot Belizean day.
3. Can we enter the cave as well?
Yes. St. Herman's Cave is nearby. If you are a fast walker and want to see the cave entrance (about a 15-minute hike), we can usually squeeze it into the itinerary.
4. Where is the pickup for cruise passengers?
We meet you right outside the terminals at the Tourist Village. We will provide specific instructions so you don't get lost in the crowd.
