Belize Tours from Belize City
The #1 Day Trip from the City. Escape the hustle of the city and journey west into the heart of the Maya world. This tour takes you along the historic George Price Highway to the Cayo District, where the "Stone Woman" awaits. Whether you are staying in the city or arriving by cruise ship, climbing the massive **El Castillo** pyramid is the perfect introduction to Belize’s ancient history.
Leaving the coast, we travel inland through the savanna and into the rolling hills of the Cayo District. We pass the "Sleeping Giant" mountain profile and lush farmland before arriving at the Mopan River.
To reach the ruins, we board a 19th-century hand-cranked ferry—a fun, nostalgic way to cross the river. Once across, we enter the **Xunantunich** archaeological park.
The Highlight: We ascend the 130-foot "El Castillo." From the summit, you get a spectacular 360-degree view of the jungle canopy, the river valley, and the border of Guatemala.
We know your biggest worry is missing the boat. Don't stress. We have years of experience managing cruise timetables.
1. We pick you up directly outside the terminal (Terminal 1 or 2).
2. We use private vehicles to bypass the slow "big bus" convoys.
3. We guarantee to have you back at the Tourism Village at least 1 hour before your last tender.
